Overview
TechExcel DevPlan allows project managers to allocate individual resources to various sub-projects. In addition, its tight integration with DevTrack enables a resource to work on other areas of the project. As tasks take longer than anticipated, resources can easily enter realistic updates on the effort required. This allows a resource to focus on the work at hand while alerting the project manager to potential resource allocation issues which can then be resolved quickly and effectively.

- Resource Allocation - Analyze the length of a sub-project and the percentage of time with which resources are committed in order to determine the total number of man-days or man-hours that resources will work. Workload can be dynamically calculated based on the duration of a sub-project.
- Schedule Chart - DevPlan provides the flexibility to allow for events and milestones to be rescheduled according to the current development state of a feature. This allows project managers to steer a project more precisely and better allocate resources to tasks that will most visibly increase the value of the project.
- Workload Conflict Resolution - The load chart allows project managers to monitor the workload of each team member based on time commitment. Project managers can see where scheduling conflicts occur and resolve them effectively.
- Work Hour Tracking - Project managers can monitor the actual hours worked by each resource within a sub-project based on workload and timesheet entries. This functionality is useful for comparing actual hours worked with the originally projected hours.
